One of the best ways to scope out hot new restaurants and food trends in Dallas is by following area eaters, chefs, and food snobs on Instagram. We’re going to feature a handful of local ‘gramers each week on SideDish. Because it’s fun to see what other people are eating.

I have some yummy Browned Butter Banana Bread to start off the first week of June. Can you guys believe half of the year is over already? After all these years, I’m still amazed at how fast time flies! . . This simple extra step makes all the difference. Nutty, buttery notes compliment the brown sugar and honey to bring this banana bread beyond 💫 . . . INGREDIENTS 2-3 overripe bananas 2 cups all purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 3/4 tsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1/2 tsp salt 3/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup unsalted butter 1/4 cup buttermilk 1/4 cup sour cream 2 large eggs 1 tsp vanilla extract 2 tsp honey 1/2 cup pecan halves (if using- I love nuts in mine!) – – DIRECTIONS * Preheat oven to 350 degrees * Melt butter in a small saucepan on med-low until brown bits start falling out and it smells nutty. Put aside to cool * Whisk dry ingredients (flour, brown sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg) together in medium bowl. * Whisk wet ingredients together in large bowl (eggs, cooled brown butter, vanilla extract, buttermilk, sour cream, honey) * Lightly fold in dry ingredients into wet with a spatula. Then fold in pecans. Don’t over-mix! * Pour into a greased loaf pan. Bake for around 50 minutes. Check for done-ness by inserting a toothpick into the loaf. If it comes out dry, take it out – even with a bit of crumbs stick to it. Residual heat from the pan will continue cooking it. Enjoy! . . . . . . #bananabread #banananutbread #bakedfromscratch #bread #breakfast #f52grams @food52 #feedfeed @thefeedfeed @thefeedfeed.baking #foodblogfeed @foodblogfeed #gloobyfood @food_glooby #imsomartha #baking #madefromscratch #mondaymood #eatrealfood #banana #bonappetit #vscofood #bhgfood #dallasfoodblogger #dallasfoodie #homebaker #thebakefeed #forkyeah #tastingtable @tastingtable #mydomaineeats #hautecuisines #seriouseats #buzzfeast

We go together like burgers and fries 😇😛 ________ Who likes their eggs runny with crispy edges?! I do 🙋🏻‍♀️ I mean honestly I just like eggs in general.. and when they’re on top of a burger (or fries) they’re even better!!! 😍 Run over to @crisandjohnvs to get their Bo La Lot Burger (it’s 2 ground beef patties wrapped in Betel Leaf) with fries 🍟 (or tots… like Napoleon Dynamite, shove those bad boys in your pockets) for $9! You’ll leave happy and satisfied 🤗 ________ 🍴 Bo La Lot Burger 😋 📍 @crisandjohnvs | 5555 Preston Oaks Rd, Suite 5, Dallas, TX 👇🏼 LIKE IF YOU WANT A BITE TOO👇🏼 . . . #petiteeats #burger #burgerlicious #supportlocal #eatlocal #dallaslife #dallasfoodie #dallasblogger
